So, you are thinking about getting a sculpture
commissioned? This page explains the options.
The first thing people always want to know is "how
much?" well, that's very much related to what you have in mind,
obviously a plaster cast of a babies foot in plaster, will differ
massively compared to a full torso cast of a couple hugging in
cold cast bronze.
As guide, please see our Photo
Gallery, where we have posted some of our previous work, along with
price guides.
There are 3 main options for purchasing a
life cast artwork from us.
-
We come to
you.
-
you come to
us
-
Give us a
design.

<1> We come to you.
Although this is an option for babies' hands and feet, it is more
expensive than coming to our studio because:
- travel time usually means we cannot
do other work that day
- de-camping the studio takes a lot of
time
- travel expenses
- in the un-likely event
of problems with the process, it will be harder to fix away from the
studio
We prefer to carry
out body casts at our studio as it keeps the costs down. However, if you are more comfortable being cast in
your own home, and are prepared for additional cost and quite a lot of
mess, then we can come to you to carry out your body-cast.
The item will be
taken back to the studio to be finished, and then delivered to you.

<2> Coming to us.
The moulding process ( shown on the How it Works page ) will take from
5 minutes for hands, to 20 minutes upwards for bodies,
depending on your choice of cast. You will be offered tea or coffee during
your stay, and you may bring friends or family with you (no more than one
or two please, unless they are taking part in the sculpture due to the size
of our facility, and children will need to be well behaved).
Depending on what item you
choose you may or may be able to take the finished piece away that day.
In most cases there will either be a several hour wait but this is
shopping / eating out time :-) We are very close to Aldershot town
centre and not far from Guildford, Woking, Farnham and Farnborough
In most cases your item will be
ready to be collected or shipped to you to you a few days later.

<3> Give us a Design.
You
give us a design of a piece you would like us to make. This can be it written, drawn, or verbal.
We will then hire a suitable life model for the task. Most things
you can imagine are
possible, with adjustments here and there. We'll gladly discuss your
idea for a unique piece, no matter how bizarre you may think it is!
Take a look at our
Photo Gallery page for previous work,
although images of pieces which may offend younger viewers are not
displayed here.
